Tables are a special kind of group made up of text shapes (these are the individual table cells) and lines (the borders in the table). The grouping of these elements into a table is not apparent when working with PowerPoint.

The Table class provides ways to work with the group as a whole, also hiding the underlying shapes that make up the group. The Table class also ensures that any structural changes made to the table are applied consistently to relevant shapes.
