With text shapes you have the ability to change the shape from one type to another, e.g. from a circle to a rectangle. In contrast, non-text shapes (e.g. pictures) are always rectangular and do not allow their shape to be changed. See Shape Type in the Working with Shapes chapter earlier in this Guide.

To change the shape type use:
